What might a relationship steered by Sacred Feminine wisdom look like right here and now, in these modern times and the world we live in today? On the latest episode, I explore this topic with Elizabeth Gould, author of the new book The Well of Truth. This book, Elizabeth’s first, incorporates elements of fantasy, mysticism, and lore to follow a female heroine through poignant moments of her adult life. Through the initiations of marriage, raising children, getting divorced, going through menopause, losing loved ones, and ultimately making an independent life for herself, she gains insight and spiritual wisdom from unexpected places.

The themes in "The Well of Truth" grew out of Elizabeth's experiences as a mother, teacher, and menstrual advocate. The stories incorporate her love of art, travel, mythology, goddess traditions, trees, and the moon. In addition, for many years, she was the director of a non-profit dedicated to positive menstrual/menopausal education and awareness. It is her joy to help women and girls understand and appreciate the intelligence of the female body and its connection to the cycles of the natural world.

On today’s episode we discuss:

• Elizabeth’s spiritual background, including her introduction to the Divine Feminine via Mother Mary and her Catholic upbringing, as well as how her relationship with the Sacred Feminine has evolved

• Some of the Goddess guides who appear in her book, who they are, and how and why she chose to include them

• Finding the Goddess in the here and now, in the messy, ordinary moments of life

• What walking the Priestess path has meant to her

• Elizabeth’s experience as an advocate for menstrual and menopausal awareness, including some of the shame and stigma she encountered during her work

• What we can learn by paying attention to our natural cycles

• The importance of releasing the need to “get it right” and simply embracing where we are right now
