Dr Thomas Ronge is a marine geologist and a scientist at the Alfred Wegener Institute in Germany. His research focuses on understanding historical patterns of ocean currents and how they've changed, and how climate impacts oceans and glaciers. Today we cover a lot of ground, talking about things like - historical CO2 levels, the Antarctic circumpolar current, deep sea sediments, the R/V Polarstern - the institute's ice breaker ship they often use for polar research. Enjoy!
