In this episode, coinciding with Mental Health Awareness Week, Jo talks to Jennifer from TalkCampus and Georgina from the University of London's Student Experience Team about Mental Health and Wellbeing.

Jennifer Russell is Clinical Director at TalkCampus and COO at TalkLife. Prior to this Jennifer worked in research and suicide prevention for 10 years including at Samaritans, specialising in the online environment and digital innovation to support mental health. She is also a Gestalt Counsellor. 

Georgina is a Student Experience Manager here at the University of London and is part of the team leading on mental health and wellbeing. As a therapeutic practitioner, Georgina has eight years' experience facilitating writing for wellbeing groups in mental health units, education settings, public libraries, and alongside those with caring responsibilities. Some of these projects have resulted in published anthologies, edited by Georgina, of participants’ writing. 

 

Completing her final research year in an MSc in Creative Writing for Therapeutic Purposes, Georgina also has a Certificate in Counselling Skills, has completed Cruse Bereavement Awareness training, Applied Suicide Intervention Skills Training and is also a Mental Health First Aider.
