What a week. A week fraught with the emotional rollercoaster of new level of lows.In this episode, I discuss the strategic element of white proximity and the need for black people to infiltrate organisations and sit in the rooms, offices and tables that affect change. What is obvious from the brands that have been called to action is that they do not have black people in the rooms when speaking about racism, Black lives, the racially motivated brutality, and systematic murders of black people especially in the hands of those sworn in to uphold the law.The power of black people is what scares racists because they see and understand the power the black community has if we are willing to focus on that power we have collectively as a community and as individuals, we can then affect change from a position of strength.Pro black isn't anti-white or anti any other race. Pro-black is reinforcing that black lives matter. The rate we are being murdered and the frequency of which Karen and the Police/NYPD weaponise their whiteness, in a white construct built and utilised by white people it is becoming a life and death situation for ALL black people. If you capitalise off black people & black culture but fail to use your voice or platform including your funds to condemn the racially motivated brutality and murder of black people, then you are complicit in the problem."THERE COMES A TIME WHEN SILENCE IS BETRAYAL" By Martin Luther King, Jr.Email me:  hello@toyatalks.comTwitter: @toya_w (#ToyaTalks)Snapchat: @toyawashingtonInstagram: @toya_washington & @toya_talkswww.toyatalks.com
