The Miami Hurricanes received some good news on Tuesday night before the deadline to enter the Transfer Portal. Quarterback Jacurri Brown will be staying with the Hurricanes. Brown started in the Pinstripe Bowl and has shown progress since his true freshman season in 2022. According to Inside The U, Brown understands that Miami is trying to bring in a veteran transfer for 2024 but he wants to stay and compete for playing time. Miami was also relieved that freshman cornerback Damari Brown did not enter the Transfer Portal, despite his older brother, Davonte, hitting the portal in the afternoon.
