Daniel Foor, Ph.D is the ofAncestral Medicine: Rituals for Personal + Family Healing. He is a ritualist and educator focused on helping others reclaim their innate capacity to relate with their ancestors and with the greater web of other-than-human kin.

In today's episode, we talk about cultural repair work, intergenerational accountability and how to become what he calls a “regular size person” through both accepting the gifts and the debts of our ancestry. Dr. Foor shares how this relational process can invite us out of extreme individualism and into a sense of belonging that helps us re-story our identities and kinships.

We also discuss how western cultural conditioning that tells us “only humans are real or alive” isolates us and how we can begin to deal with the very real grief that comes from seeing the plight of the planet and the other beings with whom we share it
