Dr Lora Chapman has been a social worker for over 14 years, traveling around the world observing and supporting many different youth communities. Her recent field work in Alice Springs and Central Australia highlights some interesting findings around indigenous youth, culture clashes and the challenges that occur in this particular community.
Dr Chapman is particular interested in how young people are talked about in Alice Springs and took a deep dive on through her thesis. She shares her findings, observations and some of her experiences engaging with these communities and individuals.
She also recently wrote an article on the curfew in Alice Springs. You can access it here. You can also see her early work here.
