In this episode of The Quo-Cast: A Status Quo Fan Podcast, Jamie Dyer gives his thoughts on Aquostic: Stripped Bare, which turns 10 this year.
Aquostic (Stripped Bare) was released in 2014 and was produced by Mike Paxman. The album features acoustic reworkings of some of Status Quo's greatest hits and fan favourites. The lineup on this album consisted of Francis Rossi, Rick Parfitt, John 'Rhino' Edwards, Andrew Bown, and Leon Cave.
The album marked a departure from the band’s signature electric style. Aquostic was a commercial success, peaking at No. 5 on the UK Albums Chart. The album's success led to a series of live acoustic shows, including a memorable performance at London’s Roundhouse for BBC Radio 2.
