Bob and Pete were 17 and 19 years old. If you remember top 40 radio, when we were kids, you might enjoy the behind the scenes story of 2 teenage best friends breaking a few rules and helping to create a radio station that’s still a success today.
They started working together just out of high school. Bob went on to a lifelong career hosting mornings. Pete Salant launched a #1 station in New York City, and became one of the top programming consultants in the country.
Along with Ed Kelly, we reminisce, but also celebrate the talent of today. Although the business has changed dramatically, there are so many great radio shows and podcasts to choose from. It’s a good time to be a listener and fan!
