More about Shane:Shane Michael Murphy is a lifelong dilettante and martial arts nerd looking for the truth, or something like it.  On the eve of the Covid pandemic, he became a hospital security officer in the hope that his studies of martial arts and self defense might be of use to others.  He's been in a few fights, and talked his way out of a few more.  He also edited the books Trauma-Aware Self-Defense Instruction by Anna Valdiserri, and Principles-Based Instruction for Self-Defense (and Maybe Life) by Rory Miller.  He trains with Kasey Keckeisen at Keishoukan Dojo in Mounds View, MN, USA.
