In today’s episode, we talk with a doula, Kelly Buck, about the Dunstan Baby Language. This is a system that identifies the sounds of the natural reflexes that all babies have. If you learn the system, or “language,” you will be able to more accurately and quickly meet your baby’s needs. Kelly also teaches methods of responding to or relieving the baby’s needs after they are correctly identified. We discuss some good approaches to ensure your baby is comfortable, such as layering clothing and “baby wearing.” We then talk about how you can learn more and become better at identifying and meeting your baby’s needs.
