I chat to the phenomenal Olga Thompson, otherwise known as the Big Fat Greek Mother. Currently taking Instagram by storm with her comedy, kindness and compassionate social media presence, Olga shares some of her beautiful journey with me. We unpack her creative journey and her desire to boldly and unapologetically use her experiences, her talents and gifts to glorify God in spheres of society that the church may find controversial. We talk about resisting people-pleasing and obeying God with our callings even when it’s seems unconventional!
Olga keeps it real as she shares her experiences of dealing with postnatal depression, confusion and deep pain where she found God addressing her childhood brokenness and hidden wounds. Incredibly it was here that she began to experience God’s prompting to explore her creativity, not waiting for a future season but starting exactly where she was, as a mother of three, and going for it, with what was in her hand. Exciting and inspiring stuff!
