Letters of Love in WW2

Three months after they wed, Cyril and Olga found themselves separated by the Second World War. Between 1940 and 1946, their love was kept alive on the pages of a thousand letters and postcards, found decades later by their family.

Featuring the voices of Amy Nuttall and Johny Pitts, alongside interviews with the family, HISTORY's Letters of Love in WW2 gives an insight into what it was like to live through this tumultuous period, including air raids, rations, El Alamein, D-Day and the liberation of Bergen-Belsen concentration camp.

Written by Anna Priestland, edited by Joel Porter and directed by Sam Pearson, you can download and subscribe to HISTORY's Letters of Love in WW2 on Apple Podcasts, Spotify, Acast or your favourite podcast app.
