After many club gigs and traveling around Canada, he moved to the U.S. He spent time in California and Nashville, but eventually found his home in Austin, Texas.Redd is best known to country audiences as the lead guitarist for Merle Haggard's band The Strangers since 1997. He launched his solo career with the album Telewacker in the late 90’s and is known as one of the great masters of the Telecaster.
