It started off as an annual family outing. In December 1958, the Martin family left their Portland, Oregon, home to go find a Christmas tree and gather greens for holiday decorations. Ken, his wife Barbara, and their three young daughters piled into the family station wagon and ventured along the Columbia River on a Sunday afternoon. They would never come home.
A massive search never found the family or their car, but what WAS found in the following months included a possibly stolen truck, a woman's glove, and a bloody handgun with a family connection. With little clues and a lot of speculation, this is one case that might not ever be solved.
