Day 144 of the Holy Bible One Year Challenge. King Saul pulls a classic parental blunder, issuing a ‘no eating till sundown’ command during a battle, leading to his son Jonathan unintentionally breaking the rule, nearly getting stoned by his own people, and to add more drama, God asks Saul to obliterate the Amalekites, but Saul spares the king and some livestock, making God 'regret' ever making Saul king. In John, in an uplifting spiritual pep talk, Jesus assures the disciples that he's merely going to prepare the ultimate cosmic Airbnb for them, promises the Holy Spirit as the divine house sitter, and declares himself to be the true GPS route to God, all while dropping the mic with, 'If you love me, keep my commands.'
