This episode is all about Neurodiversity, Neuro Inclusivity and Top Tips for Coaches. Jennifer helps individuals on their neurodiversity journey with her person-centred approach as she knows only too well the lack of support that exists for people after diagnosis. When someone receives a diagnosis Jennifer say’s “nothing changes, but yet everything changes”. We talk about her journey and how this has informed how passionate she now is about coaching neurodivergent adults. She shares her own personal journey with burnout and why it’s so prevalent amongst Neurodivergent people. We talk about labels, isolation, masking and terminology. I love how she shares how everyone is different and “when you’ve meet one neurodivert person, you’ve met one neurodivergent person” and the risk of over-generalising.

We also explore neurodiversity and workplaces. As an HR Professional herself, Jennifer is someone other HR Professionals rely on for advice. Jennifer works with the person with the diagnosis, their Line Manager and the team the person is part of. It’s about creating a “neuro inclusive environment”. Jen also shares some top tips for Coaches in terms of how best to help a coaching client who is seeking coaching support, and when to refer to a specialist coach or therapist.
