Sometimes we neglect to grasp the reverence that exists in the word ‘Christ’. We use it so often that it has almost become a second name for Jesus. The word ‘Christ’ is transliterated from the greek word ‘Christós’ which is equivalent to ‘mâshı̂yach’ in Hebrew transliterated as ‘Messiah’ in English. These words simply mean ‘one who is anointed’ or in other words one who is chosen by God usually as high priest or king.
To help develop a concrete understanding of Jesus’ rule as King, this Part 4 is divided into four Subheadings. 1. Jesus anointed as King 2. Jesus’ rule and extent of his authority, looking at prophesies and his birth right as a son of David, 3. All must bow before Jesus who is King and 4. Jesus the King with great judgement under his wings
