Today is the day! Happy Jack Squirrel has been waiting and waiting for the hickory nuts to be ready for pick. He raced over to the tree and then heard his cousin Chatterer the Red Squirrel scolding someone. Jack hoped that Chatterer wouldn’t come over and see the nuts but as Chatterer passed by Jack accidentally dropped a nut on his head and then the trouble began.
