1. Find the best keywords

You need to do your research on exactly what your ideal customer is searching for on Google. It’s probably different than what you think they’re searching for. Do your research and make sure you only show up for those exact keywords.

Quick Tips - Make sure you don’t show up for irrelevant keywords because Google will penalize you if people are coming to your site and aren’t finding what they were looking for.

You can learn more about if people are actually searching for your business or if you need to brand yourself here https://www.automationlinks.com/do-they-need-your-service-or-should-you-brand-yourself.

2. SEO your pages once

Most companies will tell you they’re doing SEO on the same pages you already have over and over. Unless they’re creating new content or updating that content it’s pointless. You need new content, new pages, and update content if you want your SEO to improve.

Quick Tips - Go over all your current pages and update content that’s outdated or not relevant. Update your pages, blogs and even add subpages with more information.

Once you have your pages created you need to index them with Google. Learn how to do that here https://www.automationlinks.com/how-to-add-your-website-to-google.

3. Post new content consistently

You need to show search engines you’re consistently trying to help their searchers. They want to see that you’re always trying to update your site with content that will bring value to people using their platform. This can be through written, video or even podcasts now.

Quick Tips - Plan on posting something consistently every week like blogs, FAQs, testimonials or newsletters. This will show Google you’re updating your site with new content.

4. What are your clients asking?

Most likely your potential customers are asking questions in Google. If your business is the website that’s answering those questions they’re more likely to stay on your site and reach out when they need help. Be the expert online and you’ll get more business opportunities.

Quick Tips - Listen to questions your current clients are asking you and use that to help you come up with new content for your website.
