The urban high street is important for keeping our city centres alive - especially in the sometimes painful transformation from retail to e-commerce. Rebecca McDonald is an analyst at the UK think tank Centre for Cities in London, an organisation that studies the 63 largest urban areas in the country and suggests policies. We met her at the Arwidsson Talks conference in Stockholm for a discussion on the importance of attracting both business clusters and restaurants in the urban areas, as well as upgrading the education and skills of the local workforce.
