My Seattle Mixtape

My Seattle Mixtape Podcast is an exploration of the 1980s and 1990s music scene that the world came to know as Grunge. We’ll be taking a band by band viewfinder to discover the roots of the music, the groups, the triumphs, and the failures of one of the most enduring rock ‘n roll scenes of all time.

Each episode will focus on Zach and Dave discussing one band. We’ll explore how they got together, where their influences came from, the music they made, and where they ended up. We’ll listen to some amazing tunes and give the listener a history into the world of that music — a gateway to grunge if you will.

Our aim is to twofold. We want to honor the music we grew up with and love. We also want to introduce a whole new generation of rock ‘n rollers to the wonders that was the Seattle scene and the music from the 80s and 90s.
