In this audio, we explore how Acem Meditation affects brain activity, based on scientific studies using EEG and fMRI.

EEG readings show increased alpha and theta brainwaves—linked to deep relaxation, memory processing, and self-awareness. At the same time, brain scans (fMRI) reveal higher activity in areas related to insight and memory, including the prefrontal cortex and hippocampus.

Surprisingly, the brain’s default mode network—active during spontaneous thought and inner reflection—is more engaged during Acem Meditation than during ordinary rest. This suggests that the technique stimulates both calm and cognitive processing, without relying on concentration.
