Matt Margenthaler - Minnesota State men's basketball coach on winning titles, growing in his faith and becoming a grandfather

Matt Margenthaler is the head men's basketball coach at Minnesota State University in Mankato and the 2023-24 NABC Division II coach of the year.

In the 2023-24 season, coach Margenthaler led the Mavericks to a 35-2 record and their first ever NCAA Division II national championship. On April 26, 2024, he was rewarded with a new five-year contract extension.
