* I think rick didn't use his tech the first time he got caught in the vines because he's bored and let it happen. If you've done everything and gone everywhere, he eventually just lets new odd things play out. He also specifically points out when HE feels him and morty are truly screwed, implying to me at least he lets a lot of stuff simply play out while having the ability to just end anything and everything

Hi Travis and Brondon,
Something that didn't even cross my mind while watching, but only when you were started talking about it: could the whole 'drug lab', the barrels and especially the opening sequence be a nod to Breaking Bad?
The cold open did, in hindsight, remind me of the cold opens you'd often see on Breaking Bad, especially in the seasons with the underground lab.

I once again want to ask if you are going to review the comics and not just a general one but an issue by issue review. i bring this up because Jerry in this rickuiem mort a dream reminded me so much of the comic version. we all know that early seasons Jerry would have ran and never look back yet here he goes full in in trying to help and only panics in the end. Jerry Smith the phil dunphy/jack carter of the rick and morty universe.
