2020 has been a hard year for pretty much everyone - but the heartbeat of great cities like Detroit are alive and well thanks to the people that make them something special. Earlier this spring, legendary Detroit rocker Ko Melina decided to start documenting all the amazing artists, small businesses, musicians and organizations that are fighting the good fight to help Detroiters battle covid 19. That project is known as The Heart of Detroit. Every day, Ko posts a new black & white, mask-clad photo to the @the_heartof_detroit on Instagram, and for over 150 days (and counting) this 100% non-profit labor of love continues to inspire. Join us for a special episode of the Third Men Podcast as we walk through the project with Ko from inception to the present day, and take an in-depth look into the heart of the city that has been so instrumental in the evolution of the music & culture we love so much.
