The US government is notorious for being a slow-moving bureaucracy that is crazy about controlling every minor detail. Internally, there are often musings that agile will never work within the public sector because the government is a unicorn incompatible with agile principles and values.

Ron MacKenzie, an agile coach for the USDA, talks to us about his own journey to agile, how he’s brought his own personal learnings to his teams and leadership and how, ultimately, the government is not that different after all.
