In an alternate timeline, John Carpenter released his third feature film "The Babysitter Murders" in 1978. It featured a knife-wielding slasher in an Emmett Kelly hobo clown mask knocking off teenagers one by one. It gets panned by critics and quickly leaves the few theaters showing it. John Carpenter, frustrated, decides to focus on his music career. The slasher genre as we know it today ceases to exist. No Jason. No Freddy. No Scream.

Luckily, Tommy Lee Wallace picked up another mask while he was out shopping, and history was made. Babysitters were no longer safe, and the slasher boom was born. We're talking about babysitter horror movies with Beauty and the Screams co-hosts Jennifer and Emily.
