Reinvention can take many forms. Maybe you’re optimizing your sales approach or overhauling your brand message. You could be changing industries entirely or starting your own business. Whatever it looks like, reinvention can be a powerful way to reach a new level of success. In this episode, host Julie Gurner talks to Arlan Hamilton, an inspiring venture capitalist with a wealth of experience defying the odds to reinvent herself and help others do the same.
Arlan Hamilton’s professional life spans everything from being the tour manager for a Norwegian pop-punk band to publishing and distributing a print music magazine. She ultimately found her calling as an entrepreneur, and built a purpose-driven venture capital fund from the ground up — and she did it while homeless. In 2018 Arlan co-founded Backstage Studio which launched four accelerator programs for underestimated founders in Detroit, Los Angeles, Philadelphia, and London.
