"Om Shri Durgayai Namaha" is a Durga Mantra, a mantra for Durga, it is a Dhyana Moksha Mantra and a Diksha Mantra and a Siddhi Mantra. It is a Durga mantra because it is addressed to Durga. Durga is the one who removes all negativities. Durga is also the one who guides you through all the negativities. She is also the one who protects and preserves you through all the shadows. So Durga mantra is an invocation of the Divine Mother as Durga.
