In this inaugural episode of the SFC podcast, Joshua Stock and Randal Schroeder (the International Director and US National Director of SFC) talk about the Vision of Snowboarders & Skiers for Christ, which is “to be the light of Jesus in the ski/snowboard culture.”
In his famous Sermon on the Mount, Jesus told his followers that they are the “light of the world” and encouraged them to “let their light shine before others, so that they might see their good works and give glory to their Father who is in Heaven.” This is a pretty familiar teaching of Jesus, but sometimes familiarity breeds passivity. So while we may know that the people of God exist to be a light in a dark world, we sometimes struggle to understand what that actually means/looks like.
In this episode, Josh and Randy spend some time unpacking what it could actually look like to be the light of Jesus in dark places (like the ski/snowboard culture).
