Project Lifesaver has its name for a reason: It saves lives. CCSO’s Bureau of Community Engagement invites families with loved ones who have a tendency to wander to sign up for the program that uses tracking technology to quickly find individuals if they go missing. It’s ideal for people with dementia or autism; they wear a bracelet or necklace that can be traced in an emergency. Deputy Monique Martinez talks about how Project Lifesaver has reunited loved ones on this episode of The Beat, a conversation about the Charleston County Sheriff's Office and our beautiful South Carolina community. To find out more or to sign up for Project Lifesaver, contact Deputy Martinez at [email protected] or call CCSO at 843-202-1700.
