Join Katie and Liz in Exeter, New Hampshire this week as they discuss the largest Hepatitis C outbreak in the history of the United States. Traveling medical technician David Kwiatkowski was assigned to several hospitals between 2003 and 2011, from Michigan to Arizona to New Hampshire. During these years, David would consistently steal syringes filled with fentanyl (meant for his patients in the cardiac catheterization lab), use the drug and then replace it with saline. In doing this, David, who had been diagnosed with Hepatitis C in 2010, spread the virus which resulted in dozens of patients getting sick. In the end, one elderly woman died as a result and countless others were infected and exposed. Tune in to True Crime New England this week and hear more about the selfish and evil act of one man, who ruined the lives of many.
