Listen in as Katie and Liz take you back to 1957 Vermont, where a 47-year-old farmer goes missing on New Year's Eve. Orville Gibson, while a successful dairy farmer, was not very popular around town; when he supposedly gets into an altercation with his well-loved farmhand on Christmas Eve, people are even less fond of him. When he mysteriously disappears while doing his barn chores, the police are called and discover signs of a struggle. It wasn't until three months later, in March of 1958, that his body was discovered in the Connecticut River. The kicker? Orville had all his limbs tied up, and was clearly murdered. Tune in to this week's episode of True Crime New England to hear more about the suspicious death, which was ultimately presumed to be a suicide. Anyone with any information on the suspicious death of Orville Gibson is asked to please call Captain Dunlap at 802-244-8781.
