There have been times in my life that I’ve felt different, like I didn’t fit in and I wasn’t sure why.  Until I learned about the trait of high sensitivity, I just chalked it up to being an introvert in an extroverted world.  I didn’t know that my sensitivity was impacting how I was experiencing my life.
