Jess Richter literally grew up in a gym. Her family-owned health club in Montana when she was young, so physical movement was something she did since she was a kid. She played basketball professionally overseas for several years. Knowing to be in her best shape served her well during the time, and it still does. She believes fitness is multifaceted and teaches for the whole self: mind, body, and soul. She's a former collegiate and professional basketball player, certified yoga and fitness instructor, and a life coach.

Jess joined me in an interview inside of Membership for Your Soul to discuss how your body can be the entryway to more profound work. You know that I believe in holistic approaches to wellness, and Jess explains how this process has unfolded with some of her clients with amazing breakthroughs and results. 

A lot of what resonated with me during her interview is how much it's about knowing yourself. There is no cookie-cutter approach for wellness or workouts or diets that will work for everyone. If you don't believe you can be free, then you won't. Take steps towards your freedom. Know in your heart you are free. Breathe. Listen to one song you haven't listened to in a long time and really hear its word. Let the music move you. Now move!

Ant: Poor little ant. Nobody wanted to pick him in membership. Why is that? Do ants feel too small? Are you afraid of being small?

If you picked ants, this week is all about clearing the clutter of your life. Getting organized. Knocking things off your to-do list because you need to make room for the new. New experiences can't come in if you are so overwhelmed by what is going on at the moment. Write a list of things you would like to have done by the end of this year. Now breathe.
