We spoke to one of its authors, Sunetra Gupta (professor of theoretical epidemiology, University of Oxford) and a prominent signatory, Carl Heneghan (director of the University of Oxford's Centre for Evidence-Based Medicine), about their contribution to debates around non-pharmaceutical interventions, where the mainstream consensus on the pandemic has gone wrong, and the misconceptions about their personal politics and funding.
