In this episode we speak with ICC Canada President Monica Ell-Kanayuk. Monica is a familiar voice across the Canadian Arctic as a former CBC Radio announcer for close to 20 years, and then as a Member of the Nunavut Legislative Assembly, and Minister of several portfolios in the Nunavut Government. She is also an award winning entrepreneur. Now, as President of ICC Canada, she is taking the Canadian Inuit voice to the international arena, for example at the Arctic Council, and the United Nations Permanent Forum on Indigenous Issues.

She spoke with Selma Ford, Health Coordinator at ICC Canada.

Music on this podcast is by Nelson Tagoona, Inuit throat boxing artist from Baker Lake, Nunavut. Additional narration is by Hazel Ootoowak, Project and Office Coordinator at ICC Canada.
