I once went out on a coffee date with someone I later referred to as “Unemployed Manic Monologue Man.”  The fellow had done a great deal of introspection.  But, sadly, he didn’t have any pathways or experiences that were giving him quality, applicable feedback.

In this podcast, I talk about the important role of feedback and how to determine whether it’s qualified and useful or not.  I also cover some tips for discernment for being able to sort which people might be more rewarding than others if you want to explore a deeper form of relating.  If a connection has an exceptionally low chance of success and sustainability because of some things that can be seen up front, it’s lovely to bow out gracefully sooner rather than later.  It’s by no means a comprehensive list, but I share some key points I pay attention to early on when I’m getting to know someone and deciding if I want to explore further.
