Africa has the youngest population in the world, with a median age of 20. Still most leaders are old men. When will change come?

An iconic photo or 22-year-old architectural student Alaa Salah, protesting in Sudan in 2019 symbolise the many changes Africa is going through at the moment.

So how is Africa doing when it comes to women’s participation in the political process? 

Why are women having such a hard time getting into politics in many countries, why are the political institutions working against them, and what is the price women have to pay to reach power?Participants:
