Where does the “MADE IN GERMANY” brand stand now and where can it and should it go in the future? What about in times of a crisis? In this live episode we talk to Prof. Dr. Achim Kempker, Chair of Production Engineering of E-Mobility Components (PEM) at RWTH Aachen Uni, about the importance of engineering in today’s world and how “Engineers Saving the World / Ingenieure Retten die Welt” is on a mission to revive makers for a better world.

Historically MADE IN GERMANY was first introduced as a label of origin & warning, which, opposed to its purpose, quickly turned into the best-known trademark for quality, precision and specialization. Germany quickly became known for its prime engineering and having created the highest density of global market leaders. However, keeping and upholding a known tradition has created barriers, such as a slow speed of digital adoption and keeping up with foreign competitors that are embracing modern and agile methods.  We look forward to talking to Achim to better understand where MADE IN GERMANY is, where it can go and how his network “Engineers Saving the World / Ingenieure Retten die Welt” can revamp the engineering industry.
