Season 1: Old Favorite FairytalesA literary fairy tale by Hans Christian Anderson first published in 1845. The story is told from the viewpoint of a snooty darning needle. The darning needle gets lost, finds herself with other trash and she gossips about how conceited the world is without realizing how self-centered she is. Moral of the story: the age old lesson of pride goes before a fall.The Junior Classics is a rescue operation to preserve the wisdom in the Classics before it is lost forever. Our goal is to inspire children with a love of good reading and a real and lasting interest in Western history, literature, and scholarship. My hope is to empower you, the parents, with a resource you can trust to enrich your child’s mind and spirit.
We don’t want these stories lost so our children don’t have to learn these lessons on their own.
