Casey Kennedy served in the Nebraska National Guard. After a 2012 deployment to Afghanistan, she was in a major car wreck with a drunk driver. The driver died following the crash. Almost dying herself from the crash, Casey broke nearly every bone from her pelvis down, had a collapsed lung, and lost over half her blood. The transition back to civilian life was tough, but it resulted in her finding a new passion advocating for veterans in similar situations. She is now a Reserve Component Transition Assistance Advisor, and as you'll hear, she is there now to help other veterans in need of assistance.
