HERE’S JOHNNY! Sorry, we had to get that out of our system. Now we are going to move on. At 333 Wonderview Avenue, in Estes Park, Colorado, truly beholds a wondrous view. At this location, the Stanley Hotel stands tall even amongst the mountains that surround it. This Colonial Revival building has been the stage for many inspirations, most famously for Stephen King’s book “The Shining” which inspired the film of the same name produced and directed by Stanley Kubrick. The creator of this beautiful structure is no other than Freelan Oscar Stanley and when paired with his brother, Francis Edgar Stanley, the duo would live almost indistinguishable lives as both had stepped into the worlds of steam engine automobiles and photography for example. The history of F.O. Stanley is one of the richest ever told when it comes to being linked to a paranormal location. Even though no records exist of deaths taking place on the property, many people cannot deny what they have seen, heard, or even felt from the dearly departed that seem to haunt the hotel. Two spirits in particular, Lucy and Paul, seem to be the most frequent ghostly visitors of them all and never hesitate to make their appearance known. If you want to learn more in depth about this legend, then check out the episode. Have you been to the Stanley Hotel and had an experience? Email us your story at [email protected].
