INTERVIEW: Today I’m excited to welcome Courtney Brame to the podcast. Courtney is the founder of Something Positive for Positive People,  a non-profit organization and podcast series on a mission to dissolve stigma, improve mental health, and promote minimization around sexually transmitted infections (STIs). Courtneys own journey began after getting a herpes diagnosis himself.  After feeling left in the dark with healthcare resources, he began talking to others online, and soon realized the ways in which STI diagnoses had effects on mental health. On the episode today we cover how we can better have sexual health conversations, and in turn, how we can have deeper, more connected and authentic sexual experiences. Courtney also shares how we can become better allies around stigma in general, and cultivate a better mindset around sexual, mental health, and the reality of STIs.

As a quick disclaimer, we do touch on the subject of suicide in this episode. If you are sensitive or triggered around this subject please skip through (14:00 - 19:30). We also have resources below if you are or know someone who is struggling.  As you’ll hear in this episode, Courtney’s work is dedicated to destigmatizing the connections within the worlds of sexual and mental health. You are not alone. Mental Health Resources:
