A special edition Next Gen Warrior is live. Today is Women Veterans Day and Mea Williams has a message for female Veterans: “You are not alone”. Mea spent 6.5 years in the U.S. Navy and she is the President and CEO of Grace After Fire. Grace After Fire is a non-profit that empowers women Veterans and connect them to the resources they need to transition back into civilian life. They provide comradery, financial aid, and mental/physical health support for women Veterans through support groups and an annual retreat. Check out how Grace After Fire taught Mea to be a leader, and why even when she was afraid, she took risks to grow professionally after leaving the military to continue to serve and lead in her community.
