Today Dr. Jeff Buske is talking with Sabastian Huynh about lessons he learned while on spring break. Jeff says he and his family went on a skiing vacation in Jackson Hole, Wyoming to enjoy some time together. While on vacation he learned a few valuable lessons about things from miscommunication to entitlement. Jeff shares one story about venting to his wife about feeling unappreciated and like an ATM by his children. It wasn’t until later that it hit him that what he was seeing in his children was mirrored in him. He realized that he felt entitled to all the thanks because he was putting out all this money. Meanwhile, his wife spent all the time and energy making their vacation possible and Jeff was just showing up. She had every right to feel unappreciated by Jeff. It was thoughtful communication and sharing of feelings that set things straight.
