I can appreciate the sentiment when someone says “good vibes only,” but there’s a better way to deal with frustrations.  More realistically, we’re all striving for balance and the most positive way of being, but that’s not the same as toxic positivity.

In those moments when we feel like our best selves, we won’t be triggered by others because we’re so secure in our own being.  That’s what I mean by “neutral vibe.” When I’m feeling activated or uncomfortable, feeling non-neutral in a situation, it gives me a gauge of how far I need to go to get back to my unbothered state.  There’s no reason to get too emotional when shit hits the fan.

Holding this neutral energy takes the pressure off.  When it comes to food, money, scheduling, decisions, it’s so easy to let the frustration fester.  It’s not easy to hold a neutral vibe, but it makes everything else easier because you are so calm, collected, and confident.

Of course it’s not realistic to hold this 24/7, but when you do get triggered or activated it’s easier to see what the problem actually is.

I’d love to hear from you.  Like really, you!  You can text me at 848-257-5301 to say hi, let me know what you’d like to hear, and get a great conversation going.  You can tag me on Instagram @saradann_ about what your biggest takeaway from this episode was, or you can visit my website at sara-dann.com.
