Inside the Tour - The Ashes 1986/87 is the definitive story of an extraordinary tour, featuring many of those who were part of it, including tales of rum, wine, fancy dress and Elton John.  There were certainly some larger-than-life personalities on both sides including Sir Ian Botham, Alan Lamb and David Gower to name but three for England.  Chris Broad may not have been in that bon viveur category, but he let his bat do the talking and became Man of the Series. Along the way, he became only the third Englishman after Jack Hobbs and Wally Hammond to three score hundreds in consecutive Ashes matches. Here Chris recalls with Tony Bishop the cricket and the distractions for the team that proved, despite a famous claim to the contrary, that they actually could bat, bowl and field.
