It came to our attention a few weeks ago that Dr. Dan Brown had passed away. Dan has had a huge impact on psychology and hypnosis over the past three decades. His books, include Memory, Trauma Treatment and the Law, Attachment Disturbances in Adults: Treatment for Comprehensive Repair, and Pointing Out the Great Way: The Stages of Meditation in the Mahamudra Tradition. These titles, among others of his, are classics in psychology and Buddhist meditation traditions. They also point out Dan’s immense grasp of both the Western psychological traditions, mind-body practices, and eastern meditation. It is with this huge loss in mind that we offer this encore episode with Dan, way back from 2019, when the PTP went by the name The Chicago Psychology Podcast. Dr. Dan Brown, Ph.D. joins Dr. Hoye to discuss dissociation, trauma and attachment theory. Dr. Brown is Associate Clinical Professor of Psychology at Harvard Medical School and has served on the faculty for over 38 years. Dr. Brown has trained and taught with top Indo-Tibetan Bon & Buddhist lamas for more than 48 years. Dan is the author of 24 books and has testified in over 200 child abuse cases and served as an expert witness for prosecutors at the International War Crimes Tribunal.Website:https://www.drdanielpbrown.comThe Psychology Talk Podcast is a unique conversation about psychology around the globe.
